#Vontouring: Bet you didn't know that you can contour this body part

Just when we thought you'd got the hang of facial contouring, life throws ANOTHER body part at us. The new trend on the block is 'vontouring' - a treatment that improves the appearance of a saggy vaginal region (with technology, not shitloads of bronzer, in case you were worried.) The vontouring treatment, Intima Touch, is a non-invasive, non-surgical alternative to a labiaplasty. It promises to reduce the size of lips to make them plumper and firmer, as well as tightening the entrance to the vagina. The procedure involves holding a pen-like device which uses thermal energy to stimulate collagen production against the skin. The additional collagen production causes the skin to become plumper and tighter, reducing the shape and size of prominent or low-hanging labia.

The vagina is the most contradictory part of a woman's anatomy. These—the most private of private parts—are the sources of both our deepest physical delights and shames. Our vaginas are so very much ours. But our vaginas are also not ours. This is something many women begin to contemplate after having sex, and come to know following childbirth. More than any other body part, vaginas are responsible for playing host to others, tasked with providing pleasure and a safe passageway for babies and sperm.

We are living in an age when the vagina talk is at an all-time high. It's a favorite plot point in the comedy of Amy Schumer and Sarah Silverman, and featured in style stories on the shifting aesthetics of pubic hair maintenance. There's even been some backlash to all this vag talk. Still, amidst all this chatter, there is little by way of conversation about the mechanics of our vaginas, how they work, how to make them work better, and how to feel more in control over them.

#1. Vontouring Is Painless

While it might seem like taking any device (outside of a sex toy) to your vagina might make for at least some uncomfortable moments, the study found that participants didn’t really feel much during the procedure. Of those who participated, 90 percent reported the treatment “to be comfortable or very comfortable.” Not too bad, huh?

#2. The Majority Of Women See An Improvement In Their Vagina’s Tightness

Similarly to the 40 percent who experienced greater sexual satisfaction after the procedure, 40 percent of the patients (although not the same 40 percent) reported “significant to excellent improvement of their vagina's tightness.” Damn!

#3. You Could Get Your Vagina Contoured On Your Lunch Break

#4. You Will Need More Than One Treatment

Even though the treatment is short, painless, and cheap compared to invasive vaginoplasty, most women will need four to six procedures. But within three to six months after the final procedure, you’ll be able to look in the mirror and say, “Damn, girl! You are looking good!” And your vagina will thank you in her own way ― maybe with some multiple orgasms later that day, because she doesn’t have the ability to bake you a cake. But she would if she could, and you know it.
